SOMETIMES the soap worlds collide in lovely and unusual ways but for Christmas Day's Coronation Street and EastEnders, there was an outrage to be had.
In both Weatherfield and Walford, beloved characters plunged to almost certain doom but in very different circumstances and fans aren't happy.
Cobbles vicar Billy Mayhew plunged off a cliff after tripping and slipping off it following a night locked in a cold and dark car boot by Peter Barlow.
Viewers watched as he plunged what seemed like hundreds of feet off the cliff to land on the jagged rocks below.
However, he miraculously survived his ordeal and ended up being rushed to hospital.
In comparison, EastEnders' Lauren and Abi Branning went tumbling off the roof of the Queen Victoria public house after trying to stop their dad from chucking himself over.
The sisters looked to be in much worse shape than Billy towards the end of the episode, despite falling about a a tenth of the way by the looks of things.
Viewers were understandably perplexed and shocked by the difference in luck between the three of them and took to social media to voice their frustration.
One viewer wrote: "So it appears Abi & Lauren have fallen off the Queen Vic & died. So about 25ft? Give or take. Billy falls about 100ft on to rocks and survives.
"Moral of the story.......believe in God!!! #Corrie #EastEnders"
