EastEnders spoilers: Harry Reid's exit plot REVEALED amid Ben Mitchell soap twist - Express.co.uk

Following on from Thursday night’s episode, which saw Phil Mitchell (played by Steve McFadden) ditched at the graveyard as police swooped in, the Walford gang went into hiding.

Ben (Harry Reid) and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) got a shock this evening when the police turned up in Albert Square after Jay found a stray diamond necklace at The Arches.

As the detective made enquiries and began asking questions about suspicious activity in the area, Ben became nervous.

Many fans believed Jay was the guilty culprit as he had access to the funeral parlour and could have easily been listening in to the heist plans.

In the final scene, Ben smiled and opened a suitcase full of cash.

However, after Harry Reid’s exit was previously confirmed by soap bosses, fans now believe tonight’s plot twist could hint at Ben’s exit.

One viewer tweeted: “Prediction: Ben joins Luke in the Maldives, they walk off to a glorious sunset. #EastEnders.”

“Hang on.... Ben took the money?! How? When? I hope Mel isn't coming back to kill him on behalf of female Aidan because of it... #EastEnders,” posted another.

A third added: “I knew Ben had the money the whole time - well we all know this is going to lead to his departure from the show now #EastEnders.”

“So @HarryReid16 is leaving, Maybe #Aidan #JP kills him for taking the robbery loot @bbceastenders #EastEnders,” predicted another.

A fifth wrote: “So it was Ben then and using Abi's suitcase to hide the goods & money...... Hmmm the plot has definitely just thickened #Eastenders.”
