Boil water advisory for Soap Lake lifted Thursday - iFIBER One News

SOAP LAKE – The boil water advisory issued Saturday after a water main break in Soap Lake has been lifted.

Soap Lake officials say water samples have been collected and tested. The results were satisfactory and it is no longer necessary for residents to boil water.

City crews first responded Saturday afternoon after a water main broke at the corner of Third Avenue Northeast and Fern Street North. The break sent a flow of water downhill into Smokiam Park.

Soap Lake Mayor Raymond Gravelle previously said the city chlorinated and flushed the entire system before a water sample was taken to a lab in Wenatchee for testing.

The boil water advisory was issued for all residents connect to the Soap Lake water utility system.
