SOAP LAKE – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday morning near Soap Lake.
Amy Days, a 39-year-old Twisp woman, was driving a 2014 Jeep Wrangler south on state Route 17 approaching the intersection of state Route 28 about 10:15 a.m. Days reportedly ran the stop sign and collided with the passenger side of a westbound 2010 Honda Element, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The Jeep then struck a 2014 Ford Focus and 2013 Chevrolet van, both in the left turn lane on SR 28. The Jeep rolled and came to rest on its top.
Days was taken to Columbia Basin Hospital for her injuries. Her passenger, 33-year-old Erin Osborn, was not hurt.
Two other drivers, Colleen Martin, a 79-year-old Wilson Creek woman, and Burton Turner, a 58-year-old Grand Coulee Man, were both injured and taken to area hospitals.
The state patrol cited Days for failing to yield.
The intersection was blocked for more than two hours.
