She was declared brain dead earlier this week, after plunging off the roof of the Queen Vic pub on Christmas Day.
And after weeks of swirling rumours, Abi Branning is reportedly set to leave EastEnders next week, when her father Max decides to turn off her life support.
The character, played by Lorna Fitzgerald, is believed to be making her last appearance on January 19 - despite sparking confusion over her death, when the actress was spotted on set of her own funeral.

Farewell: Abi Branning is reportedly set to leave EastEnders next week, when her father Max decides to turn off her life support
End of an era: The character, played by Lorna Fitzgerald, is believed to be making her last appearance on January 19, after eleven years on the BBC soap
Her father Max, played by Jake Wood, is currently refusing to believe there is 'zero chance' of his little girl ever regaining consciousness on the BBC soap.
However, after three weeks of trying to fight the doctors - and even enlisting a lawyer to frighten them with a negligence lawsuit - Max is thought to turn off Abi's life support machine next Friday, in undoubtedly heart-wrenching scenes.
The episode will mark Lorna's last appearance on the soap, which she has starred in for a huge 11 years.
High drama: Two weeks ago Abi and her sister Lauren, played by Jacqueline Jossa (R), fell off the roof of the famous Albert Square pub while trying to stop Max (L) committing suicide
A representative for EastEnders declined to comment, when approached by MailOnline.
Two weeks ago Abi and her sister Lauren, played by Jacqueline Jossa, fell off the roof of the famous Albert Square pub while trying to stop Max committing suicide.
The fate was also responsible for the death of their half-brother Bradley Branning, played by Charlie Clements, during a dramatic live episode in 2010 - having desperately scaled the pub when he stood accused of killing Archie.
Tragic: Abi was declared brain-dead last week, while Lauren underwent emergency surgery on her back, but is now unable to work
While Abi never regained consciousness, doctors did manage to save her unborn baby girl - who was born at 28 weeks after her fatal fall.
Meanwhile Lauren underwent emergency surgery on her back, which has left her unable to walk.
However, Lorna sparked confusion over Abi's death last week, when she was spotted on set filming at her character's funeral.
It's not yet known why Abi was there, or if she simply part of an elaborate plan to keep the plot a secret and is acting as a decoy.

Abi's on screen sister Lauren was seen attending the funeral with a walking stick, after surviving the accident.
Viewers saw her wake up in hospital to greet her baby son, despite previously bleeding out on the operating table after being rushed to hospital.
There has been plenty of rumours that these scenes are set to be some of the last for actress Jacqueline also, but this is yet to be confirmed.
A spokesperson for BBC told MailOnline last week: ‘We’re not going to comment on storylines, as we don’t want to spoil it for viewers.’
