EMMERDALE viewers accused the soap of “copying” Coronation Street tonight after Lachlan White threw himself threw a glass table to frame Robert Sugden.
Unhinged Lockie (Thomas Atkinson) is set on ruining the reformed Robert (Ryan Hawley) and stopping him from seeing his baby son Seb again, and in a dramatic scene was hellbent on making him appear violent.

Lockie snarled: “You don’t get it do you Robert? You’re done, finished, you might as well forget Seb exists as you’re never gonna see him again.
“You know what, when he grows up I’m gonna tell him all about his daddy. About his jailbird ex, the lies, the cons, the way you cheated, the fact you didn’t even want him to exist. With a bit of luck he’ll end up hating you as much as I do.”
Squaring up, he asked: “So come on then Robert, what are you gonna do about it?”
To which Robert simply replied: “I’m not gonna rise to it.”

With that Lachlan took matters to his own hands and suddenly collapsed through a glass table, yelling for a dumbfounded Robert to “get off” him.
As mum Chrissie ran in, helpless Rob said: "He did this himself, I didn't touch him!"

And while Robert struggled to deal with Lachlan’s strange outburst, viewers were more distracted by how the scene echoed one in Corrie just two weeks ago.
Similar scenes saw Chesney go to treacherous lengths to turn his fiancée Sinead against her ex Daniel - by hitting himself in the head with a brick.

Lifting it high, he left it fall on his own head, causing blood to gush out - as Daniel looked on in disbelief.
Then, as soon as Sinead arrived, Chesney pretended Daniel had done it - and Sinead called her former flame a "monster".
