Sophie Brown could leave fighting her dad or fighting for him

“We were always clear that there would be a beginning, middle and end,” she told the Radio Times.

“Fi was coming in to do a job. She was never going to be a new regular living on the Square and I have absolutely loved it.

“I’m really pleased the secret about Willmott-Brown is now finally out because it’s been so huge and I’ve not been able to tell anybody!

“It’s been the best fun to play. I have to say I’ve loved every single minute of it, I really have.”

Sophie, who came into the Square as Fi Brown, is the daughter of Kathy Beale’s rapist James Willmott-Brown and it’s his twisted revenge scheme that took her there.

She has two brothers, Luke, who Max met in prison, and Josh, Lauren Branning’s boss and flirtation buddy.

However, viewers are convinced there is another Willmott-Brown in the world with them deciding Jay Brown is one too.

The real identity of Jay’s father has been under scrutiny ever since Phil Mitchell told Jay he had murdered his “real dad” in a fire at the car lot.

While most viewers believed Jay’s father to be Jase Dyver – who was brutally beaten to death by football hooligans, Phil’s revelation twisted the plot.

If Phil had killed Jay’s father, then his real dad couldn’t have been Jase as fans of the soap pointed out that the man Phil had murdered in the fire was actually a homeless bloke.

With it looking slightly unlikely that the random homeless man would be Jay's real father, tonight fans went into overdrive as they started to put two and two together.

Some viewers pointed out the dates and said that Willmott-Brown went to jail in 1994, the exact same year that Jay was born.

That means that Willmott-Brown could be his father, as he would have still been on the loose when Jay was conceived.

Other fans said that Jay simply “must be his son” because they shared almost exactly the same last name.

One fan mused: “There's some debate about #eastenders latest reveal and whether JW-B could be Jay's real dad. JW-B was in prison in 1994 for another rape.

While another said: “I guessed it right after the flowers last night #Eastenders Jay is going to be his son too as he raped another woman after Kathy didn’t he?”

The posh speaking former Army officer had a brief affair with Debbie Wilkins in the 1980s and raped Kathy Beale in July 1988.

He was sentenced to prison in April 1989 and made a brief return to Walford in 1992 before being run out of town by unhappy residents.

Now the help of his family, Willmott-Brown aims to continue in his mission to slowly take over Albert Square and take his revenge on poor Kathy.

But will he be revealed as Jay's real dad? Only time will tell.
