DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – FOX 45 has learned the city of Dayton mistakenly announced their plans to close down part of Linden Avenue to demolish the old Hewitt Soap Factory.
A release was sent out from the city, saying the road would be closed for up to four weeks for cleanup.
A week after it was set to begin, FOX 45 reached out to the city who said the announcement was sent out by mistake, and there is no firm date set for when the road would be closed.
The abandoned building caught fire in December 2016, and has been in ruins ever since.
