Funeral held for soap opera creator Agnes Nixon | 6abc.com - WPVI-TV

ROSEMONT, Pa. (WPVI) --

Family and friends gathered in Montgomery County to say goodbye to soap opera creator Agnes Nixon.

Her funeral was held Saturday morning at St. Thomas of Villanova Rosement Chapel in Rosemont.


Nixon, a longtime resident of the Main Line, was the mastermind behind shows like "All My Children" and "One Life to Live".

Both were set in fictional towns in the Philadelphia suburbs.


Nixon died on Wednesday at the age of 93.
